Every year, based on the prior year’s fundraising efforts, we determine how much money we can give out for the school year. Some of the money raised goes toward scholarships and other ongoing annual things and the remaining amount is divided evenly between each grade level and the subjects of Music, Art, Technology, Home and Careers, Guidance, School Nurse, Library, Spanish, French and Physical Education. We also fund our Arts and Beautification Committee.
Our funding level for 2021-2022 is $500 per grade level and $150 for EACH special area listed above. This figure is based on last year’s earnings and any rollover available. The PTO also funds things like scholarships, books for community read, Discovery Trail experiences and more.
If you are a team leader in the Trumansburg Middle School, please be sure to submit your receipts to PTO before June 17th.
Don’t forget to pick up a Sales Tax Exemption form in the Main Office.
