Hello PTO Community, There are so many ways to get involved this month contained in this email! See below for volunteer opportunities, zombie recruitment, donations needed and PTO updates. Volunteer this Friday! —The middle school is seeking help from parents, grandparents or caregivers for the Classroots festival this Friday October 7th! There will be local chefs coming in to the middle and elementary schools and each chef can use two helpers. Stay tuned for all the details but in the meantime, we are actively recruiting ZOMBIES! View this post for details. Teacher/Staff Appreciation Days Committee Needed — Are you creative? Do you enjoy doing nice things for people? Are you always finding fun projects on Pinterest? If you answered yes to any of these, we have the perfect opportunity for you to help the PTO. We’re looking for a person (or several people) to help celebrate special days in the school year including school nurse day, secretary day, paraprofessional day, school Principal’s day, teacher appreciation day and more. Facebook and Social Media Content Needed — We have a website and a Facebook page where we post upcoming PTO events and other things happening in Tburg. If you like to work online including posting, writing up articles etc. we are seeking a person (or several people) who could help us with content. We’d give you editor access to the Facebook page and PTO website. We’re looking for anything from lunch ideas, homework tips, fun project ideas, and more. Snack Donations Needed — Donations of pre-packaged snacks are needed to help support students who are required to stay after school for academic reasons. You can drop your donations off to Anita Miller in the office and she’ll get them to the counseling dept. PTO Funds Approvals PTO voted to give $150 to the music dept to purchase ukulele straps for general music. PTO voted to give $50 for the Counseling Dept to purchase snacks for students that are required to stay after school for academic reasons. Thanks everyone!
